Our approach to addressing the challenge of creating a user-friendly Mystopia Zoo app integrating features from ticket booking to AR quests is rooted in meticulous planning and a creative ideation process. To balance complexity for all users, we focus on an effective information structure and employ user onboarding. Ensuring AR compatibility, providing clear instructions, and prioritizing safety are foundational principles. Our development journey began with an imaginative exploration of how visitors could seamlessly interact with the zoo through their smartphones, brainstorming practical and immersive elements. Drawing insights from extensive research into real-world zoos, including Philadelphia Zoo and Phoenix Zoo, we benchmarked our ideas against industry standards and best practices. This informed the development of mid-fidelity wireframes that evolved into high-fidelity clickable prototypes, extensively tested and validated by potential users. This iterative and user-centric approach ensures a seamless AR-enhanced zoo experience that engages and educates visitors of all ages while meeting the app's core objectives.
